Cats Are Amazing
All Cats Are Amazing
Since I could remember, I love all types of cats, from house-cats to mountain lions, all the cats amaze me. I even like hairless cats (though some might be disgusted, they are still cats!). How many times am I scrolling on Facebook and Instagram, I see a sick or injured cat, I have to support the post with a like or comment because that’s how special cats are to me.
One of the most active people that I see on Facebook that helps the cats (and other animals like possums-squirrels-raccoons) is a man named John DeBacker, he is known for rescuing cats on Long Island. He posts on a daily basis his rescues around Long Island.
Cats Have Been Around
Cats have been around for quite some-time, we don’t know exactly how long but we know cats aided us when we had food shortages as a human-race in the past (pest/rodent control) and maybe we might have not survived as a species without cats! It’s common knowledge that ancient Egyptians loved cats for their ability to protect grain and crops from outside forces that were hard to stop (especially rodents). It’s also known that the elimination of cats also contributed to plagues and disease due to pest populations increasing.
Cats Are Very Intelligent
If I had to put money on which would survive the outside elements better, a dog or cat? I would choose the cat, I would bet the house on the cat, because the cat is naturally autonomous. A cat will outsurvive the average household-dog if outdoors, a dog is a pack animal and does not do well in lone situations, though it might adapt. A cat is naturally curious and will try to figure out it’s surroundings and beyond.
Cats have been in my life since I was born, I am appreciative that I was able to have cats around me. Once you really open your heart to cats, you realize they are very gentle and intelligent creatures, they will bond with you.
Possibly A Good Luck Charm?
The Chinese race believes that cats are good luck, having a cat in your home will bring you abundance and blessings.
I’m not too sure how true this is but I do believe a cat does bring blessings due to the fact that you will statistically have less of a chance in gaining rodent-friends or getting disease/infections due to rodent droppings plus contaminations. So, maybe a cat is really good luck!
It’s said that Black Cats are especially good luck in places like Japan, where the black cat is a symbol of good luck!
So Many Cat Stories Exist
Tim Berners-Lee invented the world-wide-web and released his invention on August 6th, 1991 – little did he know that his invention would be mostly used for cats! You won’t believe how many cat memes are circulating on the internet, it’s like the world-wide-web was designed for cats. Tim even mentioned this himself!
Though I am not Muslim, I do enjoy one story I’ve heard before that Prophet Muhammad had a fondness for cats, especially grey tabbies. I also once heard that God created cats by having a lion sneeze on Noahs Arch, a cat appeared after his sneeze, to control the rodents!
